Advanced ultrasound approaches and innovative eco-guided surgical techniques in hindfoot treatment.
At the prestigious theoretical-practical congress organized by SISPEC (Italian Society of the Foot) on the theme "Plantar Fasciitis", held on October 10, 2026, at the "Dea Fortuna Primigenia" Congress Hall in Palestrina (Rome), Prof. Silvana Giannini took an active part in the scientific faculty, bringing her clinical and diagnostic expertise.
The multidisciplinary event addressed the issue of foot pain by integrating clinical and instrumental semeiotics, biomechanical evaluation, and the most modern conservative and surgical therapeutic frontiers.
Within the conference program, Prof. Silvana Giannini was the protagonist of two in-depth sessions of great clinical significance:
- Ultrasound evaluation of the plantar fascia(IV Session): a specialized focus conducted in synergy with Dr. P. Ronconi, aimed at highlighting the crucial importance of high-precision ultrasound imaging in the diagnosis and monitoring of hindfoot pathologies.
- New eco-guided surgical technique using high volumes of hyaluronic acid in the hindfoot: the presentation of a cutting-edge minimally invasive approach, guided in real-time by ultrasound methodology, aimed at the advanced treatment of painful conditions in the plantar region.
