This method, used in emergency medicine and pre-hospital rescue, consists of a screening performed on the critically ill patient through the use of ultrasounds and allows the 2D visualization of the internal systems of the body and the rapid identification of hemorrhages and bodies. strangers. For many years, the US Special Forces have been training their Combat Medic in the use of ultrasound probes in order to facilitate the management and stabilization of polytraumatized soldiers.
On Wednesday, theoretical and practical lessons were held in the orthopedic and trauma field: Dr. Pier Francesco Mariani, orthopedic-traumatologist, provided a series of notional and practical tools for the approach and management of orthopedic and muscle trauma -skeletal with various etiology, with particular focus on the reduction of fractures and dislocations in the field, in a context of prolonged field care.
